Fake TV News: Widespread and Undisclosed.
Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging corporations taking control of the public’s right to know.
Fox News anchor, Glenn Beck, has finally divulged his abysmal 9/12 Plan. He claims that this 9/12 Plan originates from the following day on September 12, 2001. It was the day right after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and symbolizes how America came together as one. The problem is that Beck fails to capture the unity and camaraderie America had on the day after the terrorist attacks. According to Fox News’ web site, here is what the 9/12 Project is all about.
His twelve eternal values are Honesty, Reverence, Hope, Thrift, Humility, Charity, Sincerity, Moderation, Hard work, Courage, Personal responsibility, Friendship
From a certain demented and psychotic perspective, these eternal values make perfect sense. Thrift is representative of a common value of the hard right conservative party. In other words, he wants to have exclusively tax cuts with a spending freeze. Obviously, that plan would easily fail because we cannot get out of this economic recession by not spending. We need to spend money to stimulate the economy. What exactly does Beck think it means to stimulate the economy?
How is moderation one of his eternal values? He is so far right that you cannot even declare his as a moderate Conservative.
Charity is another one eternal values, yet he touts tax cuts for the affluent and tax increases for the middle class. That is not very charitable at all.
Maybe Beck is correct when it comes to courage as a value. It takes plenty of courage to contrive such a flawed set of eternal values.
His nine founding principles are:
1. America is good place, not perfect, but good.
2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
3. I must try to be a better, more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have. I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree or share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them. They answer to me.
Some of these principles like principle one and principle six are simple common sense. Yes, America is a good but not perfect. That goes without saying. Did we really need Beck to clarify that? We already know about the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As a matter of fact, principle nine contradicts one of his eternal values. The government answers to Glenn Beck. Is he serious? Whatever ever happened to having humility?
He should just add another principle that reads “being a hypocrite is brilliant.” It is official. Glenn Beck is one of the inanest men on television.

Stop them taking away your access to knowledge.
Stop them taking away your freedoms.
It’s up to you if you wish the elite of the world to rule you.
And your children’s world.
“So anyway I’d be rubbing your big boobs and getting your nipples really hard, kinda’ kissing your neck from behind…and then I would take the other hand with the falafel thing and I’d just put it on your p***y but you’d have to do it really light, just kind of a tease business…” –as quoted in a sexual harassment suit filed against him by a Fox News producer.
